Mels3D started as an advanced manufacturing technology enterprise to create 3D printers, Electric Guitars, Synth keyboards and Electric violins by using 3D printing as the primary source of raw materials. The thought process to overcome the challenges of supply of raw materials during the COVID-19 lockdown made Mels to start an own 3D venture. Currently Mels 3D is working on a small 3D printer farm unit to mass produce 3D printed vases designed by Mels3D along with Melxlxtreme C1, concrete 3D printer core module which will be capable of 3D printing affordable houses. read more
HISTORY
Mel started DIY projects in 2018 with a Homemade Electric Guitar to kickstart Midnight Riptide, an online POP-ROCK-EDM band started by Mel and his internet friends. With 3 singles released worldwide, Mel wanted to step up into an instrumentalist from being a lyricist and composer. As high end instruments costs a fortune, Mel wanted to find an alternative which led him to start working on a Homemade Electric Guitar called Melocaster. Collecting reclaimed wood from old house and furniture and acquiring waste wood from nearby woodmill, Mel started building the 3D printer which was named as Meloprinter, later renamed to Melxlxtreme R1 which took more than 6 months of solid research to develop and upgrade.

Designing a hybrid Electric guitar, Mel had to build a Mid range amplifier for the Electric Guitar., Mel started Building his own Guitar Amps starting from a full range car amplifier modified into a guitar Amp.
MEl thunder amp
The research on building homemade Amps lead Mel to develop a 100 watts Monster Amp called Mel Thunder Amp. 100% Designed by Mel, including the PCB, transformers, CAB, Preamp, Amp board, speaker protection, Power supply and the Mid Range speaker itself custom designed. The amp consists of a 3 Band EQ for Clean and Distortion Channels separately switched by a toggle with a bypass. Protected by fuses on Transformers primaries and secondaries.
Apart from the Amps, Mel designed Melxer, A homemade 3 Channel Audio Mixer for backing tracks and instrunmental mix.

Melxer has been upgraded with a built in Mid Boost effects. Meanwhile Mel built various guitar pedals with advanced tone tweaking and control along with his homegrown bluetooth pedal, something to use as a wireless audio input.

POWER SUPPLY
One of the earlier pedal power supply and the power hub were designed with a classic look and of low power 1A Transformer, this design were upgraded and modified later for the development of Mel Thunder Amp with a giant 5A transformer.
The Initial Setup
The initial setup is based on The Mel Amp which were replaced with Mel Thunder Amp in the following months of development.
The most recent collab by Mel with with Trish Discord, Louise Lau, Angelo Sweetman, Devon Aviles on "Linkin Park - Crawling" with Melocaster.

Melxlxtreme R1 a homemade 3D peinter designed and developed with the intention to manufacture custom Electric Guitars and accessories as the raw materials were in short due to COVID-19 lockdowns.

THE VASE STORE AND THE 3D PRINTER FARM
As the monsoon started in 2022 in south India, working on Melxlxtreme C1 is no longer an option and Mels 3D started experimenting on vase designs which led to creation of a vase set with 10 designs.
Mels 3D started online stores to sell the STL files, where anyone with a 3d printer can purchase and print the vases for personal use. To start making income, there should be consistant sales, so Mels3d started working on G-CUBE where the printer will serve as the first member of the printer farm which can print and sell the vases rapidly.
FROM CONSUMER TO CREATOR
Like every hobby, eventually you become a creator. Downloading free 3D models has its limitations and disadvantages. Sometimes you don't find what you are looking for. Sometimes You don't have the option to create a derivation. That is when Mels3D started sculpturing and 3D modelling with a vase named "The Ancient Vase" as the first design. The design is hosted on multiple 3D repositories as a pro version for the public to purchase.
